22/06/08 09:45 AM
Thirroul 11-Blue — 20 vs Port Kembla
— 12
A pretty scrappy game but the boys did well to step up and take on what must have been the New Zealand All Blacks side! We need to work on our defence and watch our ball control. Let's all get to training on Wednesday.
BAD Boy - Blake (2 weeks in a row)
MAD Dog - Griffin
Go the Blues!

Thirroul 12-Blue — 44 vs Collegians — 0
Well done Boys ! Another good win. 44 - 0 keeping the opposition scoreless again. Fantastic effort. It is great to see that we can play to the structure we have in place and with the semi's a month away we will now work on the various plays that we have to take us to the next level. Again Jye scored 4 good try's and Lachlan Stein, Jesse Morris and Zac chipped in for trys. Special mention to Bailey King and Ari Forrester who loved their opportunity in the forwards and Jye showed his defensive skills by running down and stopping a certain try from an intercept. Well done next week we travel to Corrimal for what will be a tough encounter.

Thirroul 13 — 28 vs APOF — 14
A much harder game this week. Excellent running from Logan Cole and supported by Chris Antonios and Hayden Emery. Another great effort from Jake Sargent Wilson. It was good to see all the forwards help each other to defend against a very good Albion Park side. Lachlan O'Grady made some good hits while Mitchell Sharp displayed some good hit ups with strong fends to the opponents. Good backline passing was rewarded with two impressive tries. Congratulations to Hayden Crosland in topping the tackle count for April-May. So far Hayden Emery and Jake Sargent Wilson lead the June tackle count. To all the team well done and keep the great effort up.

Thirroul 14 — 28 vs Shellharbour — 34
We were the better side everywhere in this game except on the scoreboard. Our attack was excellent led by Sam, Ethan, Zac S, Jack, Robert & Chris. A few lapses in defence cost us dearly. Kyle, Callum, Nick, Pat & Jordan all put in big time, as usual. It was a great effort boys. You are starting to show you belong in Division 1. Keep playing with that commitment and the wins will come.
