Week 15 - 1 August 2009

Thirroul 10-Butchers — 0 vs Wests — 30

Thirroul 10-White — 46 vs St John’s Dapto — 6
Well done guy’s. Straight into the GRAND FINAL. See what happens when you work your butt’s off in DEFENSE. We had the ball for 30mins of a 40 minute game. That is why the score was what it was, do the same thing in the grand final and we will get the same result. Fantastic forward’s running by Josh scoring his usual 3 tries and Swany bagging a double. Kyle and Tom rewarding themselve’s with a try each.Zak having a practice at goal before nailing the 1 that count's. Tim in the back’s defending out wide like a man on a mission, rewarded himself with a try as well. Daniel and Corey were outstanding in the halves delivering the ball to the team, looking like they have played the game for years. Bob defending all over the park and chiming into the back line was great. Brock MR utility playing 3 different positions in the game, what a team player. Ben coming on in the second half smashing the first 2 ST JOHNS players that got the ball. He must have been sitting there the whole 1st half itching to get out there and have a go. And last but not least our captain Sam Scib, directing the team around the park, looking like he has been a captain for many years. Leading by example and rewarding himself with a try. WELL DONE AGAIN GUY’S. Only 1 more game. The 1 that counts. Let’s all focus at training over the next 2 weeks and reap the rewards.

Thirroul 11-Blue — 34 vs Windang — 0
Great Display of finals football guys. Led up front by our big men Hayd, Nath, Luke and Mez. Defence is what wins big games and that was spot on. But we will need to improve to go any further. Others to shine were Skippy, Tommy and Fergo.

Thirroul 11-White — 0 vs St Pius — 30

Thirroul 13 — 44 vs Wests — 16
Good WIn Boys 44 - 16 over Wests, with 2 games to go that should see us secure a top 4 spot for the Semi's. With that said it took us a while to get going and we will have to rise a little over the next few weeks if we are going to go any further in the competition. A much better second half saw some great individual play from Zac Greene who took the line on a scored a great try from 60m this along with great team work from Lachlan Stein and Lachlan McIvor popping passes when they counted to put team mates in for trys saw us run away with a solid victory. We head down to Kiama next Saturday so check the times on the web site.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Well done Boys that would have to be the best game that you have all played this year. It was great to see the off loads and passes out the backline. Keep it up, Well Done.

Thirroul 15 — 0 vs APOF — 18
The boys held on well through the first half to only be down 6 - nil. Although the commitment was there unfortunately we couldn't turn it into points on the day. Our forwards played really well. Special mentions to Kyle, Justin and Lachlan Shrubb. Great game by Jack Croman who was rewarded with the man of the match award.

Thirroul 16 — 10 vs Shellharbour — 26
We were all over Shellharbour and had them pinned on their own line for alot of the first 20 mins. Shellharbour scored first win a runaway try but we hit back with a great bomb from Corey and a spetacular jump from Joseph. We had our chances but just didn't convert them into points. Lets keep focused and make the semi's.
